As the African proverb says, “…if you want to go far, go together”.

Linda Sam was a member of the Leimert Park Jazz and Blues Society. After the death of her beloved friend and mentor, Barbara Morrison, Linda and her partner Roscoe Lee Owens, formed JazzZone JazZabration, a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to celebrate the birth of Jazz and Blues while celebrating Legacies, Musically, Financially, Artistically and Culturally. Their love for Jazz & Blues is innate and it is the foundation for the immense work that they now do in the Jazz & Blues community. 

The mission of the Society and now the non-profit is to preserve the Legacy of Jazz and Blues Legends. Over the past twelve years, these lovers of Jazz would honor an impressive one-hundred and ninety-two Living Legends, showing them gratitude for their contribution to the art. 

The Jazzy duo began hosting Jazz tributes in skyscrapers across the nation.
